This 2005 Honda CR-V LX is a great choice! Check out the following:

    City 23/ Hwy 29

    Comfort

    • Manual reclining rear seat - Lean back, even in back. Gain some space between you and the front seat with manual reclining rear seat. It lets you adjust the angle of the seatback for added comfort during the drive, or for a more comfortable rest during the longer treks. Settle in, with manual reclining rear seat.

    Convenience

    • Cruise control with steering wheel mounted controls. Set it and forget it. Road trips used to be stressful, until cruise control set the pace. Simply set the desired speed using the steering wheel mounted controls and it will maintain that speed without driver intervention. This can help minimize driver fatigue and improve overall fuel economy. Resting your right foot is right at your fingertips thanks to cruise control with steering wheel mounted controls.
    • Keyfob rear window control - Load up without the set down. With Keyfob rear window control, packing up your vehicle is easy. The keyfob can unlock and/or open your rear window so you don't have to set your cargo down, unlock, then pick your cargo back up before you load it in. With just a push of a button, the cargo area is ready for your stuff. Keyfob rear window control helps you take a load off.
    • Flip-up rear windshield - Loading made flippin' easy. Get quick, convenient access to the cargo area with flip-up rear windshield. It can be opened independently of the cargo door so you don't have to heave the door open just to load up lighter items. Flip-up rear windshield is anything but flippant about making it easy.

    Powertrain and Mechanical

    • Variable valve timing - Change your output. There are a lot of variables in your drive, so why should your engine always operate the same? With variable valve timing, the engine is efficient at both low and high RPM's, so you get better fuel efficiency, cleaner emissions and improved performance. Variable valve timing provides a better drive, every time.

    Safety and Security

    • Brake assist - Stop right there. Something jumps out into the middle of the road and you need to stop now! With brake assist, you will. It uses the speed of the brake pedal's travel to sense panic braking, then applies all available power to boost your stopping power. Brake assist can stop the accident before it is one.
    • Ignition immobilizer - Theft is a non-starter. You can feel more secure about your vehicle being there when you come back. Ignition immobilizer is a passive security system consisting of a transmitter in the ignition key and a sensor located in the vehicle. If both are not present or do not recognize each other, the vehicle will not start. Ignition immobilizer a sure-fire way to prevent the theft of your vehicle.
    • Electronic stability control - Helping you stay grounded. By monitoring and comparing vehicle dynamics to driver input, this system acts instantly to help control the vehicle if it loses traction. It engages the traction control and anti-lock brake systems if skidding is detected, and it may even react well before you're aware of a loss of traction. With electronic stability control you can stay on the road ahead.
    • Manual rear child safety door locks - Keep it all inside. Manual rear child safety locks help prevent a kid's fidgets from becoming a big problem. Because if kids can touch it, they want to play with it, and that includes door handles and locks. When enabled, the safety locks stop the doors from being opened from the inside. Manual rear child safety door locks replace mistakes with peace of mind.

    • I'd marry my car if I could

I love my 2004 Honda CR-V so much. I literally have dreams about it. I've got 140,000+ miles on it. Had it for 8 years now, was the best vehicle purchase I ever made. So grateful I crossed paths with such a trusty car. We drove it across the country with my family and pets, it was dependable and fantastic, even at 80 MPH in the western states (Montana & South Dakota) where that's the freeway speed limit. At 17 years old, the AC compressor needed replacing ($750). I can't complain because that's more of a vanity fix (my comfort) than how well the car runs. I'd recommend this model to anyone who wants a truly well made & dependable car.

I use it as a work vehicle, constantly carrying parts, tools and equipment to maintain radio stations at 35,000 miles/year. Good points: It has held up well with a peppy 4-cyl using 5W-20 oil, implying tight tolerances. Comfort and features are spartan ... not lavish. It handles well with respectable 24mpg highway average. It still has the original brakes at 130K with more to go. Bad Points: The factory BF Goodrich tires are HORRIBLE with poor performance and wear-demand replacements or walk. This is NOT an off-road car; it will get easily stuck in the mildest of farm pasture conditions and clearnace is TOO LOW. The "Maintenance" light is ALWAYS on with my use ... oil changes every 3750 mi. The air conditioner blew at 20K (not normal for a Honda). Somehow, the gas tank vapor canister was damaged at the same point (no accident???); the part, alone, was $900!!!! I first refused, finally relented and it's still a problem; the fuel system loses pressure when the gas cap is removed, meaning hard starts with every fillup. The dealer has insulted my intelligence at every turn and one can forget any support from Honda. Service wise, I feel like a slave to the car. It is not a bad car, but at this stage, I have a choice ... spend $2000 on service or use that money as a down-payment for a replacement. Ya' know, I have always liked Nissans. In truth, other folks generally have a better experience than mine but Honda can forget about me because of its policies and dealer support.
    • my cr-v is the greatest car ever

I absolutely love my cr-v. I have had my share of (relatively) routine car repairs due to the fact that I purchased my car from someone who could not keep up with the regular maintenance. I have owned my car for a year and a 1/2 and have put $3,000 worth in car repairs into it. Among those repairs were a new starter, a belt, some gaskets, a sensor, etc. Nothing terribly serious, but all needed. This car was a great purchase and well worth my money due to its reliability, comfort, and safety.
